I’ve been a lifetime member of ReadItForMe for a few years. I also have a lifetime deal for 12 Mins, have used Blinkist and three others, and occasional look at Get Abstract. I’ve got a fair amount of experience with book summary companies.
ReadItForMe is totally unique in the niche. The information in Steve’s summaries is solid and, other than Get Abstract ($300 a year), is on par with any other service. Where Steve stands out is presentation. He creates videos out of his summaries (in addition to text and audio) and they are usually very good.
If you’re a bit of a summary freak or have never used them, I strongly urge you to get this. Free for a year in this case is a beautiful deal because you’ll be able to access years worth of summaries.
Now I paid $250 for my lifetime deal and I think it was worth it. Now I see Steve is offering sumolings the same deal for $99. Huh?
Maybe he’ll let early lifers a bonus for paying the higher price, like when I hit San Antonio he’ll let me stay in his garage for a few nights instead of shelling out for a hotel.
Uhh, just sayin’ Steve. No pressure.

There are more smart people (and by association their life’s work) who have captured their ideas in a book than there will ever be time for you to read them all.
Readitfor.me makes it very quick and easy to digest key insights from some of the best leadership and business books out there, and I’m sure they’ll continue to add more.
If you are reading this, you are likely a business owner and/or very busy person who wants to read more, but just can’t seem to find the time, or you read slow (like me). Problem solved.
This looks so promising, I just went ahead and bought the lifetime deal they have on their website right now. Not sure how long it will be there, but if any of this resonates with you, I wouldn’t hesitate about supporting a company like this for 99 bucks.

First of all, thanks for the comeback of the LTD (on the website, thanks sumo-longs who mentioned that in their reviews). I missed Blinklist and everything else prior to this, so grabbed that without much thinking.
Content-wise:
+ Many best-selling self-improvement books are there, so no complaint.
– Spelling, grammatical, punctuation errors are too many to count. They’re virtually everywhere –and I only finished 2 summaries! Some sentences (very very few) doesn’t even make sense. RIFM definitely needs a proofreader (or more!) on their team.
– I can’t find a way to play video on the iPhone app. Only text and audio. Does the $99 LTD not include the video presentations?
Further suggestion for improvements:
* Maybe RIFM can sync the audio with the text on some levels. No need to be precise, just on the same page/scrolling range is sufficient.
Can’t argue that this is one of the best deals I’ve ever got on AppSumo. Wish ’em all the best in their future endeavour!
Amazing and Time Saving
Instead of writing up the long stories, the app focuses on the Point to Point knowledgable stuff. I have gone through 5-6 summaries in a day and I loved all of them. Kudos to the team.
