I was playing with it for a few hours and liked it. I am a hardcore Asana user but still find its a handful: timer, weekly planner, monthly planner, and so many things in one basket. Now for a one-year freebie is an excellent deal but thinking what would they give us after the freebie deal completed. I would like to get a lifetime deal.
SanyAhmed ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I have tip my feet into many productivity apps. Microsoft ToDo has been the best yet but Marvin is a different kind of productivity app.
The cleanness of the app and the flow and organization of ideas i amazing. I tried it and very quickly i started to see my master plan out of my mind and onto actionable steps.
This is more than a ToDo App. is a master viewer for projects. I recommend it a lot.
Vabustillos ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I just set up Marvin today and am already adding Projects and Tasks. With help on the live chat I was able to add a timer for each task which will be very useful when billing clients.
I’m sure there are lots of settings available to get the software looking more the way I would like to see it but for now I am happy to just be keeping track of all that I have going on at the moment.
This is a wonderful organizational tool. I hope they come back with a “Lifetime Deal”.
roger52 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I tried out amazing marvin for a month not long ago and loved its simplicity to get started as opposed to the way with some tools need so much setting up to get started (clickup springs to mind).
You really can customise it to suit you, with so many strategies available and that can take time to sort out, but that doesnt stop you using it straight away.
I loved the day planner and being able to easily carry over to a new day. I would have liked a ‘someday’ or inbox not linked to a date, which I dont remember being able to do. A better notes section for the tasks would be good too (add images, files, etc)
I ran out of time on the trial so I probably missed features that could have helped with my workflow.
In the end I couldn’t justify the monthly price for a task app, I just felt it was a little steep. But it is a great app and I am looking forward to being able to give it more time now.
populo ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This is an impressive little piece of software.
It is very clean, in regards to its interface (I don’t know the last time it showered).
There are a ton of “strategies” you can toggle on or off to suit your needs and work around your personal organizational preferences. It can be as feature rich or feature poor as you deem necessary which is really great if you want to just keep things simple.
I really like the different views it provides so you can see things at a granular level (super focus mode) or across multiple months, and anywhere in between.
Definitely enjoy using this at the moment. Great deal for a freebie for a year (maybe we’ll see it as a LTD some time in the future, similar to BirdSeed?). They currently have a LTD on their site through their own pricing for $300, which seems steep, but I’m hopeful that any sort of larger campaign on something like AppSumo will help bring that price down some.
Overall, a great tool for personal productivity. Don’t expect this to replace something like a Plutio, Projects, etc. as this is not intended to, but it’s extremely powerful for what it does.
