Their advances in applied mathematics allow photographers to instantly correct for optical defects in equipment, remove digital noise even at very high sensitivities, recover fine details in shadows and highlights, and bring out all the subtle nuances of color and texture in your images.

With now, nearly 28,000 optics module combinations at the ready, DxO OpticsPro 11 Essential Edition can automatically apply the most precise corrections, perfectly adapted to your exact photographic equipment. Using these optics modules, which are automatically made available to download, DxO OpticsPro can instantly correct for optical defects in your images, including fixes for:

I had been using several raw converters for my photographs, CNX2, PhotoNinja, LIghtsource, Onone, ACR etc etc. DxO is the best out of all. Not only is lens distortion and CA cleaned up but white/black/grey levels are set perfectly. Add to that raw noise removal and clearview and you have it a clean ready image to pixpeep and adjust in your graphic host program, mine being CS6. After trying out Dxo8Pro when it went free I was hooked on the quality. Try the free demo and see for your self. I also own Viewpoint which is now a plug in to Dxo 10.

Copykat

I am getting great results from this program. I have been using Lightroom since version 4 and I’ve never been completely happy with the results. I’m also very happy not to have to use the LR catalog, since I manage my own files. DXO produces much better results from my RAW files (Nikon D750) with much less work than LR 6. In my opinion, DXO’s noise reduction and distortion correction are much better too. I decided to try DXO because Adobe seems to be moving towards selling their software via subscription and I have no interest in paying a monthly fee to use any software. Since I started using DXO Optics Pro 10, I have not once felt the need to go back to LR.

A wonderful product. Too bad it does not have a plug-in for Photoshop as does DxO Viewpoint 2, but who knows they might be working on it.
