I was skeptical at first to buy any of Jixilabs apps because the screenshots IMO made the photos look less like photography and more like paintings. Or fake photography.
I was so wrong. Yes, these blur the lines between reality and surreality – thank you because it’s a fantastic blur. The photos don’t look like cartoons or sketches. They still look like photographs but tore up.
Yet not just grungy for the sake of being a mess! These apps by Jixilabs create true photograph works of art!

Just fantastic. An artists dream come true! Grungetastic is sick. You can now purchase up to 4 in app grunge styles. My favorite is the first and third. They are my fave styles of all now. But the ones That come in app are just as good. U don’t NEED to buy anything and youll be super satisfied. I just wanted even more options!
They just redid grunge and it was amazing before. Now it’s easy my fave app by them. I hope they upgrade all their apps like grunge. But again – they don’t need to upgrade NOTHIN for you to have your jaw touch the floor

Don’t hesitate to purchase. Seriously. It’s beyond better than what you’re imagining this/them to be. Way better. So realistic even in it’s surreal moments!! Which are always.

Photo editing with GRUNGE and Grit!
This grungy photo app editor is absolutely the best and most fun I have come across. I have spent hundreds of dollars on professional photo editing software for my Canon SLR camera, but have never come across a iTouch or IPhone app that can put them all to shame with it’s ease of use and results. A+++, 2thumbs up, and 5 stars! If you like hundreds of combinations to create artistic mojo to you photos, this is the app for you!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐If you like the grunge look, this app will serve you well. Lots of different effects can be achieved by playing around with the sliders or, if you prefer, just use the random selection option. Come up with an effect you like and you can save it as a preset. Plus, this app supports full resolution, a definite plus!

ctgheghe ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I’m not sure what others mean about no ability to control heaviness etc. I love getting lost in this world of endless combos & the ability to control levels of each effect as well as colors. Love this app!

ImNoelle ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Wow, I’m sure not a pro or even amateur photographer but I know I can play with this app and take some pictures at a place I have in mind that might have some perfect backgrounds and scenery that along with this app might just produce some very Pro quality pictures. How’s that for a run on sentence? 🙂
At any rate I would think that this app would be a no brainer for anyone even the least bit interested in photography.
In reading some of the reviews I can see that this proves true for more than I would have thought and today, for at least a little while longer its FREE!
Yes, they do have stuff to buy as add-ins to the program but with the programmability of this app, it should keep someone busy for quite a while just learning the ins and outs of it let alone adding more specific styles, etc.
All in all I believe this app will be one of my very favorite non game apps and/or camera apps and I have been trying out a lot of camera apps lately. Get it now!

- Crop – Cut out an area of your image hiding the rest
- Save – Save your image or preset, email or print your image and upload to Facebook and Twitter
- Color – Increases the strength of the tone globally. To change the color (tone) of the image, tap on the color boxes to get to the color picker.
- Black Threshold – Darkens the shadows in the image.
- Color Detail – Add detail to your image.
- Number of Colors – Adds in more colors creating smoother color blending.
