I’ve had a couple of hours playing, and I’m already convinced this has more than enough potential to invest in it. I agree with another review that Facebook messenger would have been nice, but I guess it retains that evil links I’m trying to escape from.
I’m in the process of planning my content and how to move it across and hopefully go live within a few days. Very exciting and seems well worth the $69 without thinking about it too much.

Easy to use, support is great, and they are wide open to suggestions. As a leader of a large online community, this tool is going to be so helpful for me, and I have been looking for something like this for years. FB is a great marketing tool, for sure, but a branded portal where they can get away from the ads and engage with your content in whichever ways you want to present it? Awesome. And the users can create their own groups too! SO GREAT.
My only complaint is that FB Messenger Premium app isn’t included. Here’s why I think you should add it to this deal:
Almost all of us buying this AppSumo deal already have Facebook groups that we will promote our new Tribe community in. And those folks will see your logo on the interface (since most of us are definitely not going to pay 50 a month to remove it!)….and if we are able to communicate with those newly-recruited members via FB messenger, it is going to make the transition MUCH more seamless for them, which means they are all going to be like “WOW THIS TRIBE THING IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEED.”

heatherjoflores ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Went ahead and snatched 2 codes, one to replace an aging Buddypress set-up (even slow on speedy Kinsta hosting) and one for a new sustainability project I’m working on. So far really like it. It is a pity that some of the app are missing. Personally hope they will still include the FB messenger add-on and will offer a native mailchimp integration somewhere in the future (zapier can be costly). Also looking forward to the wordpress integration, as a user sync would be an amazing addition.
This saves a lot of hassle for anyone looking to add or built a community around their brand. Hosting taken care of, unlimited users, custom domain – there’s a lot to like.
The personalization could be a bit more extensive from a WYSIWG point of view, but still have to dive deep into what is possible with custom css. Also found some weird wording here and there, but those are small things that likely will be polished out as the product matures. I’ll be happy to join them on that journey.
