SecuPerts First Aid Kit Review at a Glance
Does your computer not want to boot or read data from the hard disk? Do you need to recover deleted data or perform a thorough anti-virus scan? If your computer suddenly gives up the ghost, data loss looms or you cannot log into your Windows anymore – that’s where this rescue software comes in. A special rescue disk will help you with these and many other problems. SecuPerts First Aid Kit is a set of data recovery and Windows protection tools, as well as the removal of deep-rooted viral infection.
This time, we have prepared a First Aid Kit for you on THE SOFTWARE SHOP, with which you can easily generate and immediately burn a rescue disk or USB flash drive, from which you start a broken computer, save data from a broken or erased disk, reset a forgotten user account password in Windows, or perform a virus scan of all files, including those that are locked by the operating system while Windows is running.
Other tools in the First Aid Kit will also help you clone the contents of your old HDD to a new SSD, or completely and irreversibly overwrite the hard drive you want to discard or sell. For most computer management tools, a clear user interface with a desktop and application windows is prepared, as we know it from Windows.
The idea of an emergency rescue disk is simple with SecuPerts First Aid Kit. In the event of a disk crash, a Windows installation crash, or a virus attack, you simply boot your computer from a rescue USB flash drive or a Linux environment DVD equipped with the tools necessary to recover your computer and recover your data.
Therefore, SecuPerts First Aid Kit rescue features provide backup and recovery capabilities, clone hard disk content, or scan your computer for viruses (using the reliable Avira antivirus). In addition, there are also features to safely erase data from your hard drive by rewriting it if you are about to discard or sell your computer or just a hard drive.
SecuPerts First Aid Kit also includes a complete emergency desktop, allowing you to check emails, write text and surf online, etc., even though your computer will not boot up. And since First Aid Kit is built on Linux, there is also a web browser or basic office programs.
Make sure you have everything you need for a serious situation and are best protected with SecuPerts First Aid Kit! Everyone should have this software to hand – in an emergency, every second count!
The procedure for booting the computer from the rescue DVD or USB flash drive differs depending on the motherboard manufacturer or the installed boot environment (BIOS / UEFI). When starting the computer, it is necessary to press the appropriate function key (usually [Esc], [F10], [F12], etc.) and then select the USB flash drive or DVD as the boot media. Then continue by selecting Boot SECUPERTS – First Aid Kit. You can also use the Safe startup option to run the rescue environment in a limited hardware configuration, but this may not be necessary.

How it works
1) Installation and registration
When installing the First Aid Kit, you must choose whether to use a DVD or a USB flash drive to start and repair your computer. Depending on this, you can run either the “First Aid Kit – burn to DVD.exe” file or the “First Aid Kit – install on USB” file .exe «. Both procedures are very similar, so we will focus on installing the First Aid Kit on a USB flash drive.
In the first step it is necessary to confirm your agreement with the license conditions and in the next step enter the license number. Then the Win32Disk Imager will start, where you need to select the disk (»Device«) to install the First Aid Kit. The connected USB flash drive is usually detected automatically. Then continue with »Write«. Win32 Disk Imager notifies you to overwrite the contents of the used USB flash drive and then creates a rescue boot disk.
2) Start the rescue disc
The procedure for booting the computer from the rescue DVD or USB flash drive differs depending on the motherboard manufacturer or the installed boot environment (BIOS / UEFI). When starting the computer, it is necessary to press the appropriate function key (usually [Esc], [F10], [F12], etc.) and then select the USB flash drive or DVD as the boot media. Then continue by selecting »Boot SECUPERTS – First Aid Kit«. You can also use the »Safe startup« option to start the rescue environment in a limited hardware configuration, but this may not be necessary. The result of booting is the launch of a tool selection environment from the First Aid Kit.
3) Recover deleted files
One of the most important features of the First Aid Kit is rescuing data from accidentally deleted, reformatted, or damaged disks. The advantage is that the First Aid Kit only works in the computer’s operating memory, so you can’t damage data files on your disk by installing data rescue software that can no longer be recovered. Using the »Recover lost files« function is easy, just select the source disk with lost data (»Source device«) and the destination disk for saving rescue files (»Target device«). It must be a different physical disk, otherwise, the data recovery process will not even start.
4) Backing up and cloning data
The First Aid Kit also includes a data backup function, which can be found under the »Backup your data« menu. This feature is not suitable for regular backups, but especially for one-time copying of data from a computer disk that, for example, refuses to start the operating system and make files available to you in the usual way. In the wizard, you only need to specify to which disk you will copy the data, or whether you will use cloud storage for backup. Then a window will open with the contents of the local disk and storage media for saving the backup, or a web browser window, where you will log in to the cloud storage and copy the data.
The »Clone your hard disk« function is also useful, creating an exact copy of the selected source disk. With this feature, you transfer the Windows installation, all applications, and user settings and data to a new disk. You can also use this feature to convert the contents of the old HDD to the new SSD without having to completely reinstall your computer. You can also convert content from a disk that has errors to a new one.
5) Antivirus scan
The »Search for viruses« function allows you to scan your computer for malicious software without starting the operating system. Thanks to this, it is possible to detect even well-hidden rootkits, which antivirus under Windows cannot handle. Before scanning, select the disks and partitions to be scanned, the antivirus will automatically update itself from the Internet and perform a careful scan.
6) Erasing discs and other functions
We could go on listing the features of the First Aid Kit for a long time to come. For example, the »Erase your hard drive« function is used to reliably erase the hard disk of a computer that you are about to sell or discard. Files will be overwritten with random data so that they can no longer be recovered. The »Export all drives« function shares the computer’s hard disks within the local network so that you can work with their contents from another computer, and when you click on the button with the computer icon in the top right, the classic application desktop launches.
For example, a web browser is available, as well as several computer management tools. For example, you can use them to repair damaged partitions, reset a forgotten user password for a local Windows account, save deleted files, and check data from S.M.A.R.T. hard disk analysis, and much more.back to menu ↑

When installing First Aid Kit, first download the ZIP package from the manufacturer’s website and extract it to your hard disk. Next, you need to choose whether to use a DVD or USB flash drive to start and repair your computer. Then start either the »First Aid Kit – burn to DVD.exe« file or »First Aid Kit – install on USB.exe«.
Both procedures are very similar, so we will focus on installing First Aid Kit on a USB flash drive. In the first step, you need to confirm your agreement with the license terms and then enter the license number immediately. Subsequently, Win32Disk Imager is launched, where you must select the drive (»Device«) to install First Aid Kit. Usually, the connected USB flash drive is detected automatically. Then continue with »Write«. Win32 Disk Imager alerts you when overwriting the contents of a used USB flash drive and then creates a rescue boot disk. Warning: Nothing can be copied to the USB flash drive created and cannot be used in Windows.
Recovering a USB Flash Drive To delete a rescue system from the flash drive and restoreit to its original state, use the freeware MiniTool Partition Wizard(in a non-installable portable version) to delete partitions in the first step and reformat them to NTFS for Windows in the second step.
