I have tried multiple systems to keep everything organized for my life and my businesses. While many are powerful and beautiful, I’ve always found myself eventually using those apps less and less– sometimes forgetting I own them as they automatically offboard for space. That has not been the case with Agenda! Whether I’m on my MBP or my iPad Pro I know that if there’s a screenshot, note, idea, brainstorm, etc. the very first thing I open is Agenda. I love it! Quick story: I suddenly lost my husband in 2019. Since his passing, I’ve been intentional about preparing my businesses and affairs to be understandable and accessible to my children should they ever need it. With my recent SaaS launch, my children can literally open ONE document and get everything they need to carry my JourneyBee torch– or sell it, if that’s their preference– easily. From all of my train of thoughts, to my resources, to next steps… they can access everything and follow the entire journey to pick up where I left off without a hitch.

I have tried many different note taking apps over the years and haven’t found one that quite meets what I’m looking for. It turns out tying the notes to the calendar is what has been missing. I can not only record the notes chronologically (and not have to figure out where to catalgue them in some separate file), I can also prepare for an upcoming meeting with notes and tag those notes to the day of the meeting. Also, when I’m taking notes, and record an action for myself, I highlight it and tag it to a day on the calendar when the action is due.
The layout is clean and you can easily format the text. Not an overwheliming set of choices, but has all the ones I need and use.
Finally, I really love the business model. You pay one time for the current premium app. As they continue to improve the app, you get those upgrades free for a year. After that, you can review the upgrades and decide whether or not to upgrade. The app continues to work as is until you see an upgrade that is worth the upgrade cost (or not).

I’ve been on a quest for the perfect notetaking app for years and Agenda is the holy grail. It started with Evernote in 2004, where the promise was you could dump everytning in it. And so it becamse my digital graveyard. How misguided that was. Then I moved to Notion, but I didn’t like having all my data in the cloud. So I moved to Obsidian. Wonderful to have all my data local but the interface is cluttered and lacking asstehtics and the mobile app is unusuable. Even the desktop app, written in Electron lacks native Mac aesthetics and capabilities.
Agenda offers the best of all worlds. The user itnerface is so friendlhy, aesthetic and enjoyable that you want to spend your whole day working with it. The mobile apps, both for iPad and iPhone are as good as the desktop, each offering the best that the device allows. Agenda offers all of the integrations available to each device, from scanning, sharing, apple pencil, collaboration, calendar and reminders. Agenda stands alone as the king of Apple integrations, not only amongst notetaking apps but all apps. Agenda has out integrated even native Apple apps.
There’s not enough room in this review to fully sing the praises of Agenda. Get it, you won’t be sorry.
