Muze Savage Review at a Glance
Producers who chase the sound of a summer festival often run into the same wall: thin leads, weak basses and drops that never reach the energy of a big stage. Digging through a dozen libraries to find one lead and one bass that fit together wastes hours, and a track loses momentum while you search.
Muze Savage solves this in a single Kontakt instrument. It packs 432 synth and bass presets built from 12,960 samples recorded through analog and digital gear. Leads cut through the mix, plucks bounce, pads open up and basses pump, so you can sketch a drop or fill a breakdown from one window.
What Is Muze Savage?
Muze Savage is a Kontakt instrument from Muze that delivers synth and bass sounds for dance and electronic music. It contains 432 presets split between synths and basses, drawn from 12,960 samples sampled with analog synthesizers through digital equipment. Samples are 24-bit / 48 kHz and compressed without loss.
Each preset has four layers that you blend with an XY pad. You can mix anywhere from 2 to 216 sounds at once, drawing on a built-in Sources menu with more than 200 sounds. The result is a library that works as a ready-made preset collection and as a sound design tool.
The instrument also includes 14 built-in effects, a panorama processor, an arpeggiator and a master five-band equalizer. You can finish a sound without leaving Kontakt. It requires the full version of Kontakt, not the free Kontakt Player.

Key Benefits
Savage by Muze helps producers move faster and sound bigger. The benefits below show what you gain when you load it into your sessions:
- Festival energy on demand: Bright, euphoric synths and fat, pumping basses give drops and breakdowns a big-stage lift.
- Faster track sketching: With 432 presets in one place, you can find a lead, pluck, pad or bass without searching several libraries.
- Wide genre coverage: One library works for Future House, Bass House, Big Room, EDM, Trance, Lo-Fi, Chill Out and Ambience.
- Original sound design: Layering up to 216 sources lets you build sounds that belong only to you.
- Finished tone inside the instrument: Compression, EQ, delay, reverb and more sit within the interface, so you rely less on extra plugins.
- Clear, flexible workflow: The customizable interface lets you stay with presets or go deep into settings.
- Strong sample quality: Analog-sourced samples recorded on professional equipment keep sounds rich and full.
Muze Savage is aimed at musicians and producers working in Future House, Bass House, House, EDM, Big Room and Trance. It reaches just as far into Lo-Fi, Chill Out and Ambience, so the same library covers a festival peak and a calm sunset set. The sound is built around joy, fun and love, giving your tracks the atmosphere of a summer party.
Under the hood, Savage by Muze runs on the Muze Evo engine. Muze’s programmers and sound designers rebuilt it from hundreds of users’ comments and feedback. A layering engine with its own sound browser lets you stack sources and shape each one, while a deep settings page gives you control beyond the presets.
The library is 3.5 GB on disk with lossless compression, and it works with the full retail version of Kontakt on Mac or PC.
Why Choose Muze Savage?
Muze Savage is built on an engine shaped by real user feedback, which means the layout and tools answer needs producers actually reported. You get a large preset count, a deep layering system and a full effects section in one library.
